Jordan’s Love List (Books, Music, Food, Sex Toys, & More)

I frequently get asked for recommendations about some fairly random things. And there’s never been any neat, simple place to publicize those responses to people.

So this year I’m starting a new tradition. Once per year, I’m going to release my new list of favourites. Favourite what, you ask? Favourite everything.

This is my 2015 Love List!

This year, I’m going to start with the following categories (that are all subject to change every year): albums to have sex to, sex and relationship books, supplements for better sexual health, sex toys, sleep aids, ways to relax, and other writers and relationship coaches that I follow.

(And if you’d like to see some of the best articles I’ve put out this year, you can check out that post here)

So whether you’re single, in a relationship, young, old, filthy rich, or on a budget, there’s something in this list for you.

Let’s get started.

Music To Have Sex To

This will depend entirely on what kind of sex you normally have, and what kind of sex you’re planning on having the next time you listen to music, but here’s a good place to start.

Literally any music by The Weeknd.

Literally any music by Frank Ocean.

Most albums by Led Zeppelin.

Most albums by Kings Of Leon.

For something a bit more slow/mellow/romantic/instrumental, listen to anything by either This Will Destroy You, or Explosions In The Sky.

Sex And Relationship Books

For single people:

– Deeper Dating: How To Drop The Games Of Seduction And Discover The Power Of Intimacy by Ken Page

– The Mastery Of Love: A Practical Guide To The Art Of Relationship by Don Miguel Ruiz

– Models by Mark Manson

– Keep Her Captivated by Jordan Gray

For people wanting to improve their relationship:

– The Seven Principles For Making Marriage Work by John Gottman and Nan Silver

– Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations For A Lifetime Of Love by Dr. Sue Johnson

– The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman

For people wanting to improve their relationship to themselves:

– The Six Pillars Of Self Esteem by Nathaniel Branden

For people wanting to improve their sex life:

– Wild Nights by David Deida

(Want to see more in-depth breakdowns of my favourite sex and relationship books? You can check out my 2014 list here, and my 2015 list here.)

Supplements For Better Sexual Health

Best foods to consume for testosterone production (the sexual desire hormone in both men and women):

Zinc, vitamin D, vitamin C, vitamin B, coconut oil, and the most powerful one of all, pine pollen tablets.

(Want to read a super, crazy in-depth article about the time that I bio-hacked my way to a super strong sex drive? You can check that out over on my buddy Ben’s site.)

Sex Toys

Pocket vibrator

The Magic Wand

– The best male masturbator in the world

Water based lubricant

Coconut oil (as lubricant)

(Psssst….. I wrote about all of these sex toys extensively in this article.)

Sleep Aids

Blue light blocking sunglasses so that your digital lights (i.e. cell phones, tablets, computers) don’t mess with your sleep patterns. These things are life savers and I wear them almost every day… or every time that I jolt up in bed at night with a brilliant idea that I need to write down but I don’t want the light of my phone to wake me up at all.

– Thick, heavy, dark black-out curtains. Same reason as above. Any blue light (aka daylight) that lands on your skin can keep you up and/or wake you up early when you’d rather be sleeping. And the better you sleep, the more balanced and healthy your hormone production… and the more balanced your hormone levels are the better your sex life will be.

Writers And Other Relationship Coaches That I Follow

I don’t follow too many writers very closely because I find myself disagreeing with too much of what they say, especially in the relationship niche, and it’s usually more of a headache than it’s worth.

Mark Manson – Mark is really the first and only blogger that I followed before I started following anyone. He and his business model were massive catalysts for me to start my brand when I did three years ago. I thought, “If someone around my age is doing something similar to what I want to do, then I can do it too.” And so I did.

Mark writes about culture, relationships, vulnerability, self-improvement, and a bunch of other large topics. He’s much more intellectual and wordy than I am in my writing, but it works for him. He really chews on topics and presents his ideas well. Check him out if you haven’t already.

Ryan Holiday – Ryan was the head of marketing for American Apparel before the age of 25, he was the media strategist behind some of the biggest writers of our time (Tucker Max, Robert Greene, etc.), and is generally just a smart dude. He writes about business, strategy, stoic philosophy, and his pet goats. Bottom line, I like his brain.

Nathaniel Branden – This is the guy whose body of work encompasses everything to do with cultivating self-esteem. Every one of his books that I’ve ever read I have loved. Obviously there’s a decent amount of overlap in some of his books, but if you resonate with his writing style, you’ll love having the catalogue to dig into.

That’s it for this year! Hope you enjoyed this. Let me know (via my email list) if there’s anything you’d like to see me include in this article and I’ll make updates accordingly.

Dedicated to your success,

Jordan

How To Trigger The 3 Types Of Vaginal Orgasm
Vaginal orgasm... fact or myth? It's insane to me that we never received any education on how to be exceptional lovers (I mean, why learn about love, connection, and intimacy when there's algebra and a history of wars to memorize, amirite?). We were not only left in the dark on women's orgasms, but...

How To Kiss Well: The Ultimate Guide To Being A Better Kisser
In romance, there are few big first impressions we get to make on each other, and kissing might be the biggest one of them all. I've heard many people say that they went on dates with bad kissers and it was a deal breaker for them. Why? Because how you kiss is a microcosm of how you will be as a partner...
